Broken Dolls: Deliverance by Mique Watson

Having to cope with an abusive family, Dane, a young boy finds solace in the form of a new childhood friendship. The companionship is abruptly ended as his mate is unexpectedly forced to move away. Subjected to further intense abuse, Dane is eventually lead down a road of toxic behavior. Years later, when a coincidental happenstance occurs, the two friends reunite and rehash fond memories. What happens next is every cherished friendship’s worst nightmare come true.

Broken Dolls: Deliverance by Mique Watson is a story of innocence introduced to all the depravity, sickness and vile humanity that this world provides. I wanted to kick off this review by mentioning this book is in the same vein as Survivor by J.F. Gonzalez, Suffer The Flesh by Monica O’Rourke, Hub by Matt Shaw and Jinx by Bridgett Nelson. It’s just as worthy and should be “extreme” required reading. That being said…insert the bright yellow yield sign that reads “Proceed With Caution” here.

Mique Watson’s story cleverly bounces back and forth from past to present generating an underlying significance of abandonment. As this foundation is being established, Watson blindsides you with unforeseen gore-stained depravity and some of the most vile characters you will ever read. Oh, watch out for that first sentence of the book - it’s a doozy.

The fundamentals of fat and flesh are tested with hooked chains, rusty saws, sewing nails and plastic bags. Basically a fully equipped table of tortured devices are supplied with each and every chapter. This author does not skimp on details and does not sugar coat anything. From the dark web to live feeds of pain and brutality, these elements are essential to understanding a deeper meaning that this novel has to offer.
Brace yourself readers, Broken Dolls: Deliverance may cause intense, excessive and persistent anxiety. A fast heart rate, rapid breathing, sweating and a feeling of disgust in the pit of your stomach may transpire. Other symptoms may occur the closer you reach the mind-blowing conclusion. This is a five star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (yes I added a star) Horror Bookworm Recommendation.
