Sitting in front of her sewing machine, Katrina is working on her latest project. It just so happens she specializes in making suits out of stolen human skins. Upon completion, Katrina can’t wait to show off her most treasured prized creation. Candace Nola…the busiest woman in horror…nuff said. However, out of all the projects and businesses she has goin on, my favorite talent of hers is the creative writing. Thank goodness she still finds time to write vile stories of flesh and gore. So let’s take a look at her book Zippers… Kudos goes to the creepy AF book cover - not kidding, I’m really having an anxious experience with this piece of art - seriously, it’s one that Rod Serling would greatly appreciate. Turning a childhood tragedy into a full on display of violence is only the tip of the Nola infected iceberg. This story goes much deeper than just the folds of freshly skinned meat. Only the mind of Candace Nola can conjure up sympathy for a serial killer. Her grotesque descriptive writing style seems to come straight from the heart and a very dark place that resides within. Zippers is one big hug of human flesh. It just so happens gritty metallic zipper teeth are heavily involved with this needed human form of affection. 
Not for the faint of heart, this book is a nightmarish fashion statement. Think of The Emperor’s New Clothes, a literary folktale gone very…very..very wrong. A five star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Horror Bookworm Recommendation.
