The Dead Hear Nothing delivers horror with vivid disturbing images of splatter, extreme, tense moments and even comedy, all with a visceral direct style of writing. Hartwell put me through an emotional wringer. You know it’s a good book when you are constantly tapping your partner’s shoulder and saying, “listen to this…”
