Cooter by Christina Pfeiffer

A zombie rat has nested itself within a woman’s genitalia (yeah, I just said that). But wait, it gets wonderfully worse. Not only does the undead rodent reside within her red wagon but it now has an appetite for human meat. Equipped with flashlight and barbecue tongs, her less than macho husband attempts to stop the madness before it starts…too late. Oh by the way, did I mention she was seven months pregnant?

Author Christina Pfeiffer has created a perfect splat-stick comedy entitled Cooter (and we ain’t talkin’ Dukes Of Hazzard). Fur, claws, a long ragged tail and a witty personality…I haven’t felt this much empathy towards a character since the infant zombie in Dead Alive. Between the hellish rat and the gore ridden chain of events, one heck of a cervical good time is guaranteed for all.

Cooter has one foot in bizarro and the other in splatter. As bloodlust runs rampant so does the revolting sense of humor, enough in fact to qualify for a loan from the local splatter spank bank. There’s enough dry-heave moments to create one heck of a six-pack. Christina definitely has the chops for this genre and I can’t wait to see what’s next from her. She seems to never disappoint at any project she’s involved in and this is no exception.
Brought to you by Godless, Cooter is splatter/comedy at its sickest. (insert all possible trigger warnings here) Seriously, what a fun read! A five star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Horror Bookworm Recommendation.
