From unimaginable beasts to cannibalistic underground dwellers, this strange land specializes in monumental pain of the flesh. In the tradition of Cabal (Nightbreed), Hitz drenches his horrific city of monsters and mayhem with creepy survival situations (including a distorted Hitz version of Dr. Decker). D.W. Hitz transports the reader to an underground mind-blowing demonic acid trip. However, beyond the creepy atmosphere and surreal hellscape there lies a truly unsettling talent of an author. Well-written scenes with powerful images of uncomfortable dread and sadness are a testament to his artistry. The overall impact of putting individual characters in terrifying situations is way beyond anyone’s comfort zone. 
Our Trip Through Hell is the things that uncontrollable nightmares are made of.
